               ROBERT DE WARREN - International Director/Choreographer -  Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, a citizen of the World.

Artista Uruguayo, con una distinguida carrera internacional. Al completar estudios en Londres volvio al Uruguay para integrarese al Ballet del SODRE.  Su carrera incluye su perfeccionamiento con el Royal Ballet donde se integro en el celebre complejo bailando con las mas notables estrellas. Primer bailarin con el Stuttgart Ballet  y director del Ballet Nacional del Iran, Northern Ballet Theatre del Reino Unido donde Rudolf Nureyev actuaba regularmente y donde obtuvo el apoyo de la Princesa Margaret. Luego director del Ballet del Teatro alla Scala, Milan durante siete estaciones. Julio Bocca, invitado por de Warren hizo su debuto en El Corsario y una importante gira por Italia en el Don Quijote de Nureyev.  Desde 1994 al 2007  como director artistico del Sarasota Ballet de Florida ha llevado esa compania a remarque internacional, presentando Jose Manuel Carreno y otros celebres bailarines y coreografos y creando sus obras mas populares: Madam Butterfly, Carmina Burana, Sueno de una noche de verano, La Dama de las Camelias y sus producciones de Lago de los Ciscnes, La Bella Durmiente, Cascanueces, Giselle, Don Quijote y tanto mas.

Robert de Warren es tambien un coreografo de gran capacidad y disena decorados y trajes para ballet.

                                                                                                                     Robert de Warren is one of today's most experienced and successful dance personalities with an unusual international career that has taken him worldwide creating new works, restaging his popular ballets and collaborating with companies and personalities in many fields. He recently retired as the Artistic Director of the Sarasota Ballet of Florida, a post he held for thirteen years.

Robert de Warren is now sought after for staging his original works.  Since his very recent retirement theatre personalities are intent on bringing his choreography to a wider audience. The Royal Ballet at Covent Garden in London, is where he commenced his career which has encompassed working with such luminaries as: RUDOLF NUREYEV, Dame Margot Fonteyn, Dame Alicia Markova, Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, John Cranko, Roland Petit, Agness deMille, Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Fleming Flindt and many more. He has also been approved by the Balanchine Trust to perform Mr. B's ballets in the companies he directs.

Dancing with the Royal Ballet he learned the entire CLASSICAL REPERTOIRE and as a principal dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet he created several roles for Beriozoff and John Cranko. He was a star of the Frankfurt Ballet and the Ballet in Berlin.

Nureyev recommended him as Director of Ballet at La Scala, Milan, where he remained for seven years.
